Lino Arruda

Bio

Lino Arruda is a professional artist, illustrator, and graphic novelist, and currently a Studio Arts faculty member at Everett Community College. His work explores gender, identity, and queer experiences through humor and horror. He is the author of MONSTRANS: Experimenting with Horrormones, winner of the 2021 Mix Literário Award, and the CISPHORIA graphic novel trilogy. Arruda holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Fine Arts, a Master’s degree in Art History, and a PhD in Literature (Fulbright Fellowship). He also works as a freelance illustrator, creating illustrations for books, games, and other creative projects.
